Common Vetch
$0.00
A rapid growing legume that does well on a wide variety of soils either on its own or when planted with a companion crop. Common vetch is not hardseeded, meaning it is not likely to become a weed problem. It is used successfully as a cover crop, green manure, pasture, silage and hay. Common vetch can aid in weed suppression and fall nitrogen scavenging, and is an excellent choice for orchard/vineyard cover crops, a companion to cereal grains, and a cover crop in annual vegetable rotations. It is moderately resistant to cold and can tolerate short periods of saturated soil.
