A warm season annual that can be used for multi-cut green chop or hay, summer pasture, or cover crop. More fine-stemmed than Sorghum-Sudan hybrid, making it a great hay choice. Grows quickly and often up to 7ft, so needs to be mowed regularly. Plant late spring to early summer in warm soil and graze when mature (never after a frost). Other versatile uses include loosening soil with deep roots, cycling nutrients (especially excess nitrogen), and reducing nematode/symphylan populations with decomposition.
