An outstanding winter annual forage grass that is highly productive. It can be sown in a prepared seed bed, overseeded on warm season grass sods, utilized as a winter cover crop, or used for grazing. It establishes quickly, germinating in about one week, with deep, fibrous roots to aid in fast growth. Tetraploid varieties have increased digestibility due to more soluble sugars, and generally perform better during grazing.
